Wolfman Premiere After Party

Universal's
"Wolfman" premiered at the Arclight Cinerama Dome on Tuesday, February 9, 2010. I did not make it to the premiere but I did go to the after party, held at a nearby Hollywood hotel afterwards. Unfortunately, I did not do well with the cast of "Wolfman." The party venue is one where fans and collectors are made to wait on the sidewalk, which is a considerable distance to the entrance. Also, vehicles can be pulled onto the property for dropping off and picking up celebrities so that was our main disadvantage. We spied Anthony Hopkins leaving, called out to him but he ignored our pleas. Film director Joe Johnston came over to us and signed for a good ten minutes. Collectors were clamoring for him, as he was integral in several of the "Star Wars" movies as one of the special effects innovators from the famed Industrial Light and Magic. Renowned special effects and makeup artist Rick Baker signed for us as he was left the party. Unfortunately, no one else associated with the movie signed for us. However, it was a good night for television stars from the 1980's and early 1990's. Markie Post, who was fabulous as public defender Christine Sullivan on "Night Court." She willingly signed and was a sweetheart, posing for two photographs with me. Fred Savage starred as "Kevin Arnold" on "The Wonder Years." As he left the party, he was super-friendly, signing two index cards for me and also posing for a picture. Craig Robinson from "The Office" also walked by, stopping to pose for a photo with me on his way into the party. Character actor Rick Overton signed an index card and posed for a picture as well.
