Rapper Lil' Kim is known to be a tough autograph, so when she appeared on a late night talk show as that week's cast-off on "Dancing with the Stars", we used the opportunity to secure her autograph. When Lil' Kim exited the building after her interview, we as a crowd started chanting in unison, "Kim! Kim! Kim!" She laughed at this and it worked as she, along with her manager or assistant, made her way over to us. Offering her a blue sharpie to sign with, Kim's manager said, "She'll only sign in black." So Kim was handed a black Sharpie marker and she proceeded to sign a total of 3 autographs, with us getting 2 of the 3. She quickly posed for a photo with one other person before Kim's manager said that Kim had to go. The autograph itself is nice as she signed "Lil' Kim" along with a smiley face. So the lesson is that even with those who are known to be difficult autographs to obtain, that sometimes they do in fact sign, if the occasion is right.
