On Sunday, February 21, 2010 the Saban Theatre hosted the Los Angeles Police Department's Tribute to the USO. There was a red carpet out front with good access but one event worker in particular was intent on keeping us from asking for autographs or taking any pictures.

Even so, we were still successful with each of us getting a gorgeous autograph from singer and actress Connie Stevens. She has appeared on the Bob Hope USO specials numerous times over the years so it was a given that she was attending to once again support this worthy cause. Stevens isn't out as much anymore so it was a great opportunity to meet this legendary lady. Stevens dated Elvis Presley for a while and the two remained friends until his death. She also appeared in "Grease 2" as a sexy high school teacher. Connie Stevens has participating in some past Hollywood collector shows but even that has been two or three years since her last appearance.

Singer Pat Boone also signed for us on the way into the event and we also snagged signatures from him on the way out. He also posed for pictures with each of us. Boone is best known as a popular pop singer in the 1950's and 1960's. Billboard magazine attests this fact by stating that Boone only trails Elvis Presley, who holds the top spot, as the top charting artist of the late 1950's.

CSI: Miami's Eva LaRue also signed for us on her way into the event. We spotted Nancy Sinatra but she did not come over and sign for us. We also caught up with "The Girls Next Door" star Bridget Marquardt and she took a photo with us. However, she was rushing out very quickly and didn't seem to really have or want to make the time for us. Knowing that she doesn't sign blank index cards, we did not ask her to sign anything.
