Fergie is known both as a solo artist and as a member of the hip hop group The Black Eyed Peas. Infusing hip hop, funk, dance and pop rock styles all into one, The Black Eyed Peas are one of the most popular and hottest hip hop groups in the world.
In 2009 the Black Eyed Peas appeared on a late night talk show, performing an outdoor concert as well. This attracted legions of fans, so afterwards the crowd had swelled to well over 300 fans. Fergie didn't disappoint as she made her way over to the crowd and started signing away. Fergie's band mate, aple.de.ap signed a few autographs but nothing compared to what Fergie was doing. Taboo and will.i.am didn't come over and sign at all, quickly making their way to their vehicles and leaving. Fergie was fantastic, hitting CD's, photographs and pretty much anything that was put in front of her. The crowd was pushing and shoving, basically going wild but we were still able to get several signed photographs. Fergie used the same black Sharpie the entire time and you can see that she has a unique, printed autograph. Fergie placed a small heart at the front of her autograph, printing each individual letter and dotting the "i" in Fergie with an "x". It was amazing as no matter whether it was the first autograph she signed or the hundredth, the signature was beautifully consistent each time. It was great that Fergie took time for her fans and the admiration is mutual.
